BMH were delighted to support the opening of Heritage Skills Academys’ (HSA) new Armiger Foundation Engineering Hub in Bicester.

On March 25th BMH Managing Director Graham Payne and Martin Davies were privileged to attend the opening of the Heritage Skills Academy (HSA) new Armiger Foundation Engineering Hub in Bicester.
HSA is a fantastic facility to teach the traditional skills of engine, gearbox, differentials and rebuilds, the unit is multi-purpose and has been designed to cater for hands on training, the unit also houses an classroom to house exam conditions in a soundproof environment. Plenty of parking too.
The HSA was founded in 2018 by John and Janice Pitchforth and they have grown the business with a passionate desire to succeed, it now has a management team of 20 and at the moment they have 200 apprentices going through. The target by the end of 2025 is for 240. They have a 100% pass rate, with 25% gaining a distinction – John & Janice are rightly very, very proud of their achievements but they are not stopping yet!
British Motor Heritage have 3 apprentices currently, Kieron & Matt are in their final year and Harvey joined us at the end of 2024 – they are all performing superbly.
